Maria Diana for .bijouets: the new collaboration that gives birth to a collection of contemporary jewelry, sophisticated and innovative in its simplicity
Maria Diana is the designer chosen by .bijouets to create a new collection, that will be presented for the first time in Paris at Maison & Objet (September 8-12). The first encounter with the designer immediately created mutual interest, thanks to common vision and aesthetic taste. For this collection, Maria Diana has created jewels with simple and elegant lines made to wear every day, which can be customized thanks to the modularity of the different parts. Cube collection (necklace, bracelet and ring), in fact, resumes geometric elements that, coupled in different colors, create a movement in their simplicity.
Maria Diana, architect and designer of contemporary jewelry, starts her artistic career by attending the contemporary artist Maria Lai studio and she acquired from her especially the artistic sensibility. In this period, she learned the techniques of ceramic manufacturing and design, as well as the study of composition and the balance between volumes and shapes. The architectural studies have completed the training period, ended with a degree at Polytechnic University of Turin. Since 2000 she starts the artistic research in contemporary jewelry, by applying the techniques acquired in the production of unique pieces, also using the high temperature materials. The main material used by Maria Diana for her creations is the porcelain.
The jewels of Cube collection aim to innovate without neglecting the style. In the desire to explore new expressive boundaries, the designer reinterpreted classic jewelry in a modern way and through the use of unconventional materials. Each collection’s piece is unique and combines style, research, sinking roots into traditional techniques.
